Last updated April 10, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Waver ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at waver.co and our cloud-based WhatsApp business automation platform (the "Services"). By using the Services you consent to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password. When you use the Services, we collect the content you create including messages, automation flows, contacts, knowledge documents, and team configuration.
Automatically collected: We collect your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, and usage patterns (pages viewed, features used, timestamps). We use cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics.
Third-party integrations: If you connect external services (Zapier, HubSpot, Stripe, etc.), we may receive data from those services as configured by you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide, operate, and improve the Services; to authenticate your identity and manage your account; to process payments; to send transactional communications (receipts, security alerts, product updates); to respond to support requests; to monitor for fraud, abuse, and security threats; and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with payment processors (Razorpay) to handle billing; cloud infrastructure providers that host the Services; analytics tools to understand usage patterns; and as required by law or to protect our rights. If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. WhatsApp Data
Waver acts as a tool for managing your WhatsApp Business communications. Message content, contact information, and conversation metadata you process through the platform remain under your control. We do not access, read, or use the content of your WhatsApp messages for any purpose other than delivering the Services. Waver is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Services are used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@waver.co.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site and, where appropriate, notified via email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
